The gig economy, information economy, surveillance economy and their many proliferations demand identifying a shift of labor from the industrial economy to platform economy: A shift in resource extraction that has introduced data as the black gold of the twenty first century, a shift from proletariat to precariat that has brought unprecedented controversies and new forms of precarity to workers.
Momentography of a failure [translocal] brings together diverse positions working with multiple disciplines that deal with the controversial world of platforms and the counter strategies that emerge in response.
Please join us to our finissage on April 1, for a tour through the exhibition, a variety of round discussions with artists, activists and writers and the possibility to join Circles UBI: unconditional basic income powered by trust.

How does a city respond to its transformation into an increasingly digitalized platform factory?
Deutsche Post turned from a public, federal service provider into a stock exchange listed company. The former central post building in downtown Düsseldorf reflects this process. Completed in the early 1990s the state of the art facility became obsolete from the beginning. Sold off to a private pension fund, the building is nowadays rented to the city administration serving as a cultural hub, hosting an independent theatre, FFT (Forum Freies Theater), as well as the public library and other public municipal service outlets.
