Andrea Dip is a Brazilian investigative journalist who has been working with a focus on gender and human rights since 2001. She has received 16 journalism awards for human rights coverage. In 2018, she published the book reportage "In whose name? The evangelical caucus and its power project" about the involvement of evangelicals in Brazilian politics; and co-directed the documentary "Under Constant Threat" about how gender-based violence affects the way women occupy the streets of São Paulo. Currently living in Berlin, she is the social media and communication coordinator of IRGAC, a guest researcher at the LAI of the Freie Universität, and special reporter at Agência Pública de Jornalismo Investigativo in Brazil. Dip researches the advance of Christian fundamentalism in Latin America, its effects on the rights of women and the LGBTQIA+ community, and the connections between religion, authoritarianism, and ultra conservatism.
