Paülah Nurit Shabel holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology from Buenos Aires University and an MA in the Psychology of Knowledge from FLACSO and the Autonomous University of Madrid. Drawing on Latin American traditions of activist research, her research at IRGAC aims to study the knowledge that adolescents construct about money, informed by their everyday practices with it, and how that knowledge informs their political ideas, which today lean to the right. Paülah has been an Assistant Researcher at CONICET, investigating children's and adolescents' political action and political knowledge in Latin America. Additionally, she serves as an undergraduate and postgraduate lecturer at several universities, works as a journalist for various media outlets, and is an activist against ageism in the social organization AulaVereda and within the LGBTQ+ movement.
